Membership

NOTICE: We are currently NOT accepting new members. If you would like to put your name on our waiting list, please follow instructions below for submitting the required paperwork. You will be contacted when there is an opening. You must have a valid Firearms License to become a member of the Huronia Hand Gun Club. We do not accept applications from anyone (aside from juniors) not in possession of a PAL or RPAL. Having applied  with the RCMP or having taken the Canadian Firearms Safety Course does not count as having a PAL in your possession.

We require copies of the front and back of your Firearms License as well as your driver’s license to verify your address.  We require a signed waiver which is available below.

There is a minimum one year probationary period. Prospective members must complete 8 hours of training. You must also take the Club Level Safety Course. These must be taken regardless of your occupation or experience.

We do not fast track the membership process for any reason. Our orientation courses, signoffs and probationary periods are ways we assess your suitability, attitude, and competence.

You can mail your application and signed waiver with the required enclosures to the club address below.

Digital copies may be emailed to Membership Coordinator. If sending digital copies, please label your files surname_firstname followed by whatever the image contains. We prefer .jpg or .pdf format for your digital files.

IMPORTANT: Do not pay fees until you have been notified that your application and waiver have been received and you have been accepted as a candidate for club membership.
