| The Province of Ontario requires that individuals wishing to acquire a licence to hunt must take the Ontario Hunter Safety Education course and pass the tests. The Huronia Handgun Club offers this course several times a year through a provincially approved hunter safety instructor. The cost for the course including both the textbook and exam is approximately $200.00 . Please contact the club for upcoming course dates. Topics Covered in the Hunter Safety Education Course include : Basic firearms safety practices; Wildlife management and conservation; Hunter responsibility and ethics Safe handling and carry procedures; Summary of the Ontario Hunting Regulations; Relevant Federal wildlife and firearms law; Wildlife identification. |
